Claude Code
Anthropic-compatibleAnthropic's terminal coding agent. It only speaks the Anthropic Messages API, and two environment variables are all it takes to point it at CCSub.
CCSub exposes an Anthropic-compatible endpoint and an OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Any tool that lets you override the API base URL needs just three values: a base URL, an API key and a model ID. Pick your tool below for the exact settings screen, field names and the gotchas we have seen.
https://www.ccsub.netFor tools set to the Anthropic / Claude provider. No /v1 at the end.https://www.ccsub.net/api/v1For tools set to OpenAI or “OpenAI Compatible”.If a tool speaks the Anthropic Messages API, use the first URL (Claude Code only supports this one). Tools that only speak the OpenAI format use the second. The same API key works for both.
Command-line tools
Anthropic's terminal coding agent. It only speaks the Anthropic Messages API, and two environment variables are all it takes to point it at CCSub.
OpenAI's terminal coding agent. It calls the Responses API, needs the /api/v1 base URL, and on current versions is configured in ~/.codex/config.toml.
An open-source terminal coding agent built on the AI SDK. Add one custom provider to opencode.json — and remember the baseURL needs /v1 even for the Anthropic package.
IDE extensions
The open-source coding agent for VS Code. Both its Anthropic and OpenAI Compatible providers accept a custom URL, and Plan and Act modes can use different models.
An open-source coding agent for VS Code, now rebuilt on OpenCode. Add a Custom provider on the Providers tab; both OpenAI Compatible and Anthropic Messages work.
An open-source AI coding extension for VS Code and JetBrains, configured in config.yaml. Use provider anthropic or openai with the same /api/v1 apiBase.
AI code editors
The AI code editor. Third-party endpoints only work through Override OpenAI Base URL; Tab completion never uses your key, and model names must not start with claude-.
The fast open-source editor with a built-in Agent panel. Add an Anthropic-compatible or OpenAI-compatible provider in settings.json and you are connected.
Desktop apps
An open-source desktop app that swaps provider settings for Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and more. CCSub is in its preset list, so setup is pick-and-paste.
An open-source desktop AI client. One provider can hold both an OpenAI and an Anthropic endpoint — just know that it appends /v1 to the API host for you.
Create a CCSub account, generate an API key, then follow the guide for your tool.
